Welcome to St Luke's Church, Clifton, West Cumbria
St Luke's is a small village church in north west Cumbria on the edge of the Lake District.
The present building was opened in 1901 but there has been a church on this site since at least Norman times. Some Norman artifacts can be found in the church.
Our Priest is Sudharshan Sarvananthan and our churchwardens are Stan Baker and Brian Shaw.
All our Sunday morning services are at 9.30am. Holy Communion Services are held every 2nd, and 4th Sunday, Morning Prayer every 3rd Sunday, followed by coffee and biscuits. A warm welcome is assured. Disabled access and parking and large print books are available.
The first Sunday in each month is our Family Service, it's not just for children but they are very welcome! The service is a 'lighter' way of expressing our faith - slightly shorter than usual with lively hymns, a Bible reading and a short talk based on the theme for the day.
On the 5th Sunday in any month we have a united service in our Benefice of Brigham, Clifton, Dean and Mosser, see our notice board or ring Sue for further detals.
If you would like to come to church but would like help with transport; if you would like us to pray for you, or if you would like Holy Communion at home, please do contact us, we will be very pleased to help in any way we can.
